Webuser authentication & 2FA
By Created , last editted

Hello all,

I set up the webuser model in line with the tutorial on: https://www.bettyblocks.com/le...

Now, users are asking for 2-factor authentication and we are also considering this as a must have for a secure platform. Is there a convenient way to do this? I know, there are API's that can send SMS messages (such as https://www.messagebird.com/nl...) However, we prefer the Google Authenticator since that is widely known. Is there any way to do this or when will this (or another default way of 2FA) be implemented in BB within a short-term? (security is not a feature).

Looking forward, KR,

Arno

I've requested the google authenticator to be documented and to add it as an event feature in the future. For now you could use Corné's solution or try to setup the google auth yourself.

Hi Jorit, I have just discussed this item with Chiel from BettyBlocks. It does not seem so difficult to implement Google Authenticator!! So that's good news. I am going to implement it this week in our Cyber Cloud app and I will share the solution in detail (with screenshots) when I have finalized it - so we can all make use of it.

Hello Arno, did you manage to get this to work? We have a similar request and I am looking into how to "connect" (protect) my webuser login to Google Authenticator. Would be interesting to see your solution...
